ISO / ISM will come and is happily here to stay, however in the Maritime world there are certain sizes and types of ships which are just not being built any more and the requirement exist particularly in the 2000 to 16000 DWT, Tweendecker & Bulkers & Self dischargers (pneumatic).
What do we do? We ensure that we renew approx 30 to 150 tons of steel where it is required the most i.e.. Tank tops, Top side tanks, Main deck, Monkey island on top of the bridge, forward above forepeak and near the windlass and the first one third of the ship where carefully gauging is done first checking done and proper quality of steel is used after matching (this is most important)
Our rates compared to excellence we provide, are very competitive ranging from 60 cents per kilo to one dollar twenty cents per KLO for Lloyds class plates with 6 g welding as per Lloyds highest class.
