This department is here to ensure that any sailor can work hard
cheerfully on board the ship /vessels knowing full well that the
sea worthy shipping services c& c department will care for his
family and his home with utmost care.
Care Services :
- Regular phone call and visits to parents and dependents.
- We arrange for domestic help and ensure that the sailors' dependents are looked after.
- We arrange for the doctor to visit parents or the parents / wife and children to visit the doctor and send reports directly to the sailor.
- Regular visits to dependent by qualified social worker with nursing experience. We charge Rs.6000 plus expenses.
- Medical monitoring and treatment of relatives.
- Mental health monitoring of relatives and friends.
- Education of relatives and dependents : We arrange for the children wife / brothers to attend good schools and colleges and ensure that regular
reports of the dependents reach the sailor
Custodial services :
- House keeping and caring for the home : We look after the cleaning and take care of the sailors' home while he is away at sea and ensure that when the sailor returns home, its sweet smelling and ready for use.
- Home Security : Checking the security and arranging for security to guard the home.
- Investment advice and Consultancy : We advice every sailor not to invest in securities which he cannot monitor effectively. Our advice to sailors is to invest the money wisely in banks and government securities etc. We have our panel of Chartered Accountants to guide him for a fee.
